About Me

I was born in Glasgow in 1981. I am currently living in Dundee and have so for the majority of my life. I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone, University of Dundee in 2004 and have a BDes(Hons) in Jewellery and Metal Design. I am currently producing work in my workshop in WASPS studios, Meadow Mill, Dundee. A list of places where I have exhibited my work, past and present, is available here. My work is currently being sold in Perth in a retail outlet, Lorraine Law. I also have two earring designs exclusively available for sale online at The Earring Company.

I am intrigued by the Art Deco period and enjoy travelling. I find ancient cultures like the Incas fascinating and am always inspired by their achievements. My current work is inspired by forms derived from mushrooms and toadstools. I find the shape and simple structure interesting. I also am intrigued by the patterns produced by spore prints, which I use as patterns for my engraving. I have always been interested in mushrooms and toadstools as they have a magical and unique element which I try to incorporate into my own pieces. I use mainly silver but have pieces with hints of gold. Most of my work is gold plated. I have recently started to oxidise my pieces to give a different depth and colour to my work.

I have had various commissions for necklaces, rings and earrings, and am always interested to hear people's opinion of my work. If you are interested in purchasing, commissioning or exhibiting my work then please email me.
